"Jet Age" Bracelet Concept
I've been working on some new concepts lately for a design course I'm taking thatTomas Wittelsbach is teaching.
One design is this "Jet Age" bracelet. It's definitely a WIP but it's been a fun shape to explore.
I wanted to make a bracelet that looked futuristic but as I was sculpting, it started to turn into something very retro Jet Age futuristic. Then something steampunk happened. I like some of the elements of it but see it more as an exercise than anything.
I think it would look pretty cool in silver - especially with a patina. I decided to see how much it would cost to get cast . . . and it would be pretty expensive! $400+ And that's not even with any real post processing like a really high grade polish or a patina finish. That takes a LOT of time.
Well. That's the great thing about sculpting on a computer. You can play around with ideas without having to spend too much money.
Here's a gallery of the design from various angles.
